Automation, Digitisation and Platforms: Implications for Work and Employment

This paper explores automation, which is understood as the replacement of (human) labour input by (digitally-enabled) machine input for some types of tasks within production and distribution, and its implications on labor market, job quality, social dialogue and social policy based on recent studies. It explores the main trends and findings to identify research gaps and inform future research.
