Platform work is increasing worldwide, various tasks are involved. The social protection of platform workers has serious gaps. The challenge lies in an internationally integrated, extremely flexible market with a multitude of small jobs and constantly changing contract partners. “Digital Social Security” establishes a concept on how to take advantage of digitalisation to organize social security even in such an environment.
