The Future of Employment: How Susceptible are Jobs to Computerisation?

This paper examines the impact of computerization on job susceptibility. Through Gaussian process classifier, it estimates the probability of computerization for 702 occupations and the relationship between an occupation’s probability of computerization, wages and educational attainment. It concludes that 47% of US employment is at risk and that wages and education show a strong inverse relationship with probability of an occupation getting computerized.
